Tak. is a multi-disciplinary studio specialising in design and bespoke terrazzo production for both commercial and private client projects. Based in London / Brighton, we are a team of designers and makers with skill sets ranging from interior architecture to concept creation and bespoke terrazzo making.
My Story
Hideaki Takayama is a designer/terrazzo maker with 10 years of experience.

Previously, he worked on projects such as Yves Saint Laurent, Nike, Google, and also the international projects Vidivici Cosmetic and Diamond Cafe Tokyo. During his profession, he got involved with all of the design and development stages with various tasks such as material sourcing, creating mood boards, and technical drawings, and producing proposal 3D images for presentation documents.
Apart from his designer role, he also works as a sustainable bespoke terrazzo maker, creating indigo dye terrazzo, which has been exhibited at the Japanese Textile and Craft Festival in London, a summer exhibition at the Yare Gallery, and also at the Wacoal Art Centre Tokyo. Everything he has engaged so far has been driven by his interest and research in interior design / Art.
